What Locked Out is
Locked Out is a community platform where people share and verify bathroom codes and WiFi passwords for restaurants. Anyone can view submitted codes without an account. Creating an account is only required to submit codes or vote.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We store these to identify your account and display your username next to your submissions.
We also store the codes and passwords you submit, the votes you cast, and your reputation score which is calculated from community interactions.
We do not collect payment information, precise location data, or any information beyond what is described above.
What is public
Codes and passwords you submit are public by design — that is the purpose of the platform. Your username and reputation score are visible on the leaderboard.
Your email address is never shown publicly.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to operate Locked Out. We use it to authenticate you, attribute submissions to your account, calculate your reputation, and display your username.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except as required to operate the service (for example, our database provider Supabase).
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies to keep you signed in between sessions. We use Vercel Analytics to understand how people use the site — this data is anonymized and does not identify individual users.
We display ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve relevant ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. Submissions you make remain on the platform after account deletion to preserve the integrity of the community database, but will be disassociated from your account.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting us. We will process your request within 30 days.
You can also revoke Locked Out's access to your Google account at any time through your Google account settings.
